This is the third night, this week, that the water has gone out.  My mom called, and they said they were sending a technician, but they had no idea why the neighborhood keeps losing water.

The main thing I’ve learned this week is to wash early!  Once everyone gets home from school and work, starts cooking dinner and getting showers, there’s a good possibility that we’re losing water!!

Today’s Flat Lineup!

In all seriousness, though, the main two things that I’ve learned during this challenge are:

  • I don’t really have to pack my entire diaper stash when I head out somewhere!  I can use anything as a diaper, including cup towels!
  • I don’t really NEED my entire diaper stash!  I can use anything as a diaper! :)
The main tip that I think everyone should know is:
  • Use receiving blankets!

Seriously, I think I’ve used more receiving blankets through this challenge than any of the flats.  They’re cute!

Today’s Diaper Line-up (Origami & Kite & Pad fold with fleece stay dry liner):

I am taking part in the Second Annual Flats and Handwashing Challenge hosted by Dirty Diaper Laundry.  For 7 days I will be using only flat cloth diapers and handwashing them in an effort to prove that cloth diapering can be affordable and accessible to all.  You can learn more about the rules and why this challenge was started by visiting the announcement post.  This year there are over 450 participants from all over the world!
