Have you heard of the Toydozer? If you’re kiddos are like ours, it’s a must-have cleaning tool!  Like creator, Amy Bradley, you’ll have no more fooling with cardboard and a shoe box for scooping (or books and a food storage container in our case) , and no more picking up little by little.  Knock out those big, tedious, messes in just a few seconds!

toydozer reviewIt’s no secret.  The Johnston boys have a TON of LEGOs.  So many, that they have their own LEGO room.  Ok, so it’s basically their (rather large) closet, but their clothes hang high, and the floor is pretty much nothing but LEGO storage.  They have a LEGO table with a storage drawer full of LEGOs that rolls out from under it.  Even though they have lots and lots of sets, they’re still at the age that they’d rather play with the LEGOS and build what they want rather than build the set and put it on a shelf.

After having received 14 (or was it 13) different sets of LEGOs between them, for Christmas, the boys always have a mess on their hands.

The Toydozer is one of those helpful tools that leaves me wondering “why didn’t I think of that?!”  It’s simple, yet very effective, not because it’s this super high-tech gadget to add to the closet of cleaning supplies, but because it’s actually something that the boys can keep in their room, and they can do themselves, in a fun way!

How the Toydozer Works

Our new favorite LEGO cleaning tool comes with two parts:  the gatherer and the scoop.  The gatherer looks like and works like the blade of a bulldozer, allowing your kiddos to run it across the floor to gather (like a broom) the small toys, and the scoop acts like a dust pan and allows them to hold the toys that they’ve gather until they dump it in the appropriate place.  There are also two convenient velcro strips that attach the gatherer to the scoop so that they stay together while not in use.

An essential clean up tool for the whole family, the Toydozer makes clean up time fast, easy and even fun. Now Lego®, MEGA BLOKS® Polly Pockets®, Squinkies®, Matchbox® Cars, blocks, trains, safari animals, puzzle pieces- whatever’s all over the floor- gets picked up quickly and easily!

toydozer reviewThe Toydozer comes in four fantastic colors (see website for colors!) so they are great for boys and girls.

What I like about the Toydozer is that it doesn’t just help with the boy’s toys!  When Jett spills his puffs or Cheerios on my (clean) floor or carpet, I can scoop them back up and put them back on his high chair or in his bowl, easily, without worrying about wasting them after my nasty broom and dustpan have touched them!

Our boys have used the Toydozer for:

  • Legos
  • Coins
  • Puzzles
  • Crayons
  • Army Guys

Our teenager doesn’t know it yet, but when she gets back from my parents’ house, she’s going to use it for all of these things that are all over her floor in her room:

  • Nail Polish
  • Hair Clips
  • Bobby Pins
  • Jewelry
  • Craft Stuff

If you’re looking for a simple way to help get your kiddos involved with cleaning up after themselves, try the Toydozer.  Word of advice, though… if you have more than one child, and they are close in age, you may one to go ahead and purchase one for each of them, because there is no doubt – they will argue over who gets to use it!

At only $14.99, the Toydozer is a great way to teach your little ones to be responsible with their toys be helping with the clean up!
