There’s nothing we love more than our kids, but when they’re in bed, at school or you’re just lucky enough to have a babysitter for the evening – you just have to make the most of those little windows of opportunity.

Learn

It’s easy to let your once intelligent brain turn to mush – especially when the kids are really young and they can’t even talk to you. That’s why it’s a great idea to learn something new. A language is a great idea, especially if you’re planning to go on a foreign holiday sometime soon or you’re even thinking of moving to a foreign country in the future. If not a language – then how about something at night–school? There are loads of courses available from pottery to physics and from cake decorating to creative writing. You could even go one step further and take an Open University degree; maybe retrain for a new career when the kids have got a bit older.

Date-Night

When you’ve got kids it’s easy to fall into the trap of not making time for each other – and organising a date-night is both a fun way and a great way of making sure you don’t forget how much you enjoy each other’s company. Take it in turns to plan a night for the other one; maybe run them a hot bath when they’ve had a hard day, cook them a nice meal whilst they’re soaking their stresses away and …we’ll leave the rest up to your imagination.

Find a new hobby

Forget about stamp collecting. Hobbies can range from anything craft orientated to sports such as visiting a golf country club and playing hours of golf. Golfers may step into style with this premium mens golf shoes collection to elevate their game.

Walking and cycling are also very popular nowadays – whilst one of the biggest things people are doing nowadays is blogging.

Bingo

Well revisit an old hobby maybe. Remember how much you used to enjoy playing bingo in a bingo hall when you were a kid on your holidays at the seaside. Well, since then, bingo has become a global pastime – especially now everyone can play online. Apart from the enjoyment of playing the actual bingo game, there are some great online chat-rooms and forums where you can make some similar-minded friends. Most bingo sites will offer you some free-to-play credit and no deposit bonuses which you can use to win some cash prizes including some big jackpots. If you win you’ll probably be able to book a big holiday to wherever you fancy – okay, so you’ll have to take the kids – but you can’t have everything. I heard of one guy who has won the biggest payout from an online bingo site ever of £5.8million which took place on this online bingo site Butlersbingo. I know I would love a share of that cash!!! And if you also want to win excellent cash rewards, you can place a bet in UFABET!

Movie Night

One thing that certainly goes out of the window when you have young kids is going to the movies, often because the cost of going is too pricy for you to fall asleep in the middle of it. The good thing about having not been to the movies for a while is that all the films you missed are now available online – so treat yourself to one of the monthly movie streaming subscriptions and catch up.

Take up dancing

There are loads of places that offer dance classes nowadays. Whether it’s sexy salsa that intrigues you, reviving fond memories of the disco era, or you want to take up Ballroom dancing because you’re a big fan of Strictly. And, if you can’t get out, just shut the curtains, put on your favourite CD’s and boogie to your heart’s content.

Travel

Admittedly not the easiest thing to do with kids but, if you’ve got close relatives or friends who’ll have them overnight, even a one-night getaway in a hotel can feel like heaven especially if it’s got a spa and a great restaurant. Of course you’ll probably have to repay the babysitting favour – but it’ll be worth it.
