It seems like more and more people are turning to their iPhone camera to record memories and special events. With the new iOS7 update, I can’t exactly blame them. The new camera has a lot of great features like in camera editing and new grid options that the iOS6 didn’t support. Even better, taking great iPhone photos is less complicated than ever before.

Photography, even with an iPhone, is an art that requires patience. Remember to use a steady hand when capturing photos. Shaking and moving around will obviously result in a blurry, or distorted photo. If you need to, use the side buttons on the iPhone’s left side to capture a photo instead of clicking the capture button with your thumb. This gives you a firmer grip on your iPhone and ultimately, a higher quality photo.

Don’t edit your photos in Instagram, not only do their filters bring down the quality of your images, but after while they start to look old. Instead, consider VCSO Cam. It’s a free, high quality image editing app that allows you to edit your photos pretty similar to what you could do in Lightroom Photoshop software.

And last, but certainly not least-get creative! We’ve all seen the same old photo of cereal, why not capture it from a different angle this time? Or use a red bowl to add color against the white table cloth. Keep in mind that great lighting and colorful subjects instantly make a photo a thousand times better.
