Did you know that in a survey conducted by Survey Monkey in May 2014 among Americans representative of a National U.S. Census, more than half of North American students don’t use a locker to store their belongings – most, opting to carry their belongings with them all day.  I believe it.  Since moving to this district, the Teenager hasn’t used a locker for her books or belongings at all.  She carries a huge backpack with her to every class with all of her books, binders, and other belongings.  I was actually appalled to find this out, because when I was in school, one of my favorite parts of the school days was actually mingling at my locker.  Master Lock is making Back to School fun this year.

Keep it Safe with Master Lock #MasterBacktoSchool

Having security is a great way to keep your belongings safe, whether it’s a Master Lock, a large gate or private retail security. Keeping everybody and everything safe is the top priority so look into the best option for your needs, but for now consider something for back to school.

For the Tech Geek:

1500eDBX dialSpeed Digital Combination Lock:  This is a pretty fun little lock.  With this lock, you don’t have to worry about forgetting your combination!  It’s a pretty high-tech little gadget for those of us who like that kind of thing.  Open the lock super fast with a light up keypad and a unique online Backup Master Code that users can retrieve from masterlockvault.com.  It stores multiple resettable guest codes which is great for when you and your BFF share a locker, and sports a sleek, ergonomic design for one-handed, no-look operation to keep lockers stylish and secure.

For the Creative:

1535D and 1535DWD Set-Your-Own Combination Locks: This is definitely something my kiddo likes.  She thinks it’s pretty cool that you can set your own combination in the form of a four letter word.  These fun locks are great for someone who likes to shake things up a bit and be personalized whenever he/she can!   Select styles are available in black or white with brightly colored dials and retail for $7.99. New this year are white locks featuring bright and trendy turquoise or pink dials inspired by the fall 2014 PANTONE® Fashion Color Report.

For the Safety Nut:

5900D SafeSpace™ Portable Safe:  This little portable safe is pretty cool if keeping your items safe goes beyond setting a lock code on your phone.  Keep your things safe while socializing. This safe will hold things like cell phones, small cameras, cash, jewelry, credit cards and more.

I love this product!  I think they would also make great Christmas gifts!  They also have an integrated cable that you can anchor to a fixed object or used as a handle.  Really, really neat.  Available in white, grey and pink and retails for $19.99.
