I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Influence Central for Sprint. I received a Sprint device to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

We’re Android people.  When ads for the new LG G4 started circulating, I knew that it would be one of those guilty pleasures that I really needed to award myself.  I was over the moon when the opportunity presented itself to test drive it through Sprint!

Sprint LG G4 Review

(I realize this photo looks like we’re driving down the road.  We were most definitely stopped and safe!)

With a teen in the house, two of most important features of the new LG G4 are the camera (obviously!) and the FREE Sprint Drive First app.  LIke most teens, she’s glued to her phone, and it’s extremely important that we teach her, from the beginning, the importance of  putting her phone down while she’s behind the wheel.  We try really hard to lead by example and not text and drive and try to be hands free when we’re on the phone as much as possible.  Even then, phones can be distracting.

Safe Driving-Summer

I know that a lot of the “don’t text and drive” ads are targeted for teens, but texting while driving is an epidemic across the world that affects more than just the younger generation.  I have a friend (I will not name names!) who have I have passed and waved to twice in the past month.  Both times, her head was looking directly down at her lap for what seemed like forever!  From the time I could see her face to the time she passed by me, she never looked up.  I would say that more than 5 seconds had passed.  If you don’t think that’s a lot of time, or you don’t think it’s dangerous, close your eyes right now and count to five. However, you should also consider other factors that may influence this behavior. Having mirrors checked and cleaned is great to ensure proper visibility of the surroundings, but you should also have the windows and windshields inspected. A blurry or cracked windshield can hide what’s directly in front of us and if we don’t see anything in our way then we think it’s ok to look down at our phone. Consider getting auto glass replacement or a windshield replacement to avoid any of these issues so you are sure that your child is driving in a safe vehicle. Even small cracks or chips on the windshield can be dangerous so it is advised to bring your car to an auto shop for glass repair or car windshield replacement.

The alarming issue of texting while driving extends beyond age groups and affects drivers of all demographics. It is a behavior that poses a serious threat to road safety. If we underestimate the gravity of such actions or the risks they entail, we should try closing our eyes right now and counting to five. It becomes evident that this behavior must be addressed and discouraged. Hiring a professional driver from a reputable service like ComfortDrive.ae, for example, can provide a safe and comfortable ride, allowing individuals in Dubai to focus on their destination without compromising their own safety or that of others on the road. It is important to always follow the right path for the safety of everyone. The professionals made it to the point where the markings were properly installed, and you can also visit this website, https://www.whiteliningcontractors.co.uk/, for more information.

When texting, a driver spends approximately 10% of their driving time outside of their lane.

The Sprint First Drive app holds your calls and texts while your vehicle is in motion!  It do it’s best to automatically detect when you are driving, and when you receive a text, it will hold the text or automatically reply (if you so choose) to the person on the other end letting them know you’re driving.  You’re able to choose a handful of people to allow through when you’re driving, but it’s safe to say that if you’re on a short trip, they can wait, too.

FOR TEENS:  There is also a Parent Tools setting that allows you to create a PIN.  Only those who know the PIN will be able to make changes to the app, and this ensures that Sprint Drive First cannot be deleted or disabled without your permission.  Score!

When looking for a cell phone, most people aren’t thinking of the safety features involved, yet they’re more curious about how good the camera is going to be.  The LG G4 camera is second to none.  When we first got it out of the box, we thought our phones had good cameras until we started playing around with this one.  The quality is excellent.  I’m not a great photographer, but this camera really helps capture life better than any phone I’ve ever had.  Rear Facing 16 MP camera with F/1.8 lens, manual mode, laser auto focus, and optical stabilization, and Forward Facing 8 MP camera.  I like how it adapts so well to your surroundings.

These photos were taken over 4th of July weekend!  The first few were taken on a partly cloudy day.

After the sun set, I wanted to snap a pic to post on Facebook, and I think this one turned out really well!  No flash.  I should have turned the flash on just to see what it would have looked like!  Wasn’t thinking.

I haven’t yet mastered fireworks, but I think the video turned out pretty great!

This photo was taken at the end of the night when it was time to say goodbye.  The flash was on, and I think it captured the photo really well.  No red eye!

This screenshot image shows two features of the LG G4  camera.  The first is the pink glowing frame around the display.  This is the selfie camera that is great for the front camera in low light settings!  No flash? No problem! LG is taking selfies to a new level!  It also shows me using the gesture shots feature which allows to to raise my hand and then make a fist to trigger the counter.  I suppose this would be good if I had a selfie stick!

All in all, with a Sprint Lease, the LG G4 really is an affordable phone for the whole family.  At $18 per month for 24 months, a family of 4 on the Sprint Family Share Pack plan can share unlimited talk and text as well as 20GB f date for only $100 a month!  That’s extremely reasonable when you have more than one kiddo with a phone!  Find a Sprint Store near you!
