WhitePages Mailer for Organizing Addresses & $25 Shutterfly GC Giveaway (12/22)

Do you send Christmas cards?  If so, have you sent them yet?  I was recently told, by a friend, that it's good Christmas card etiquitte to have your cards sent out by the end of the second week of December.  I had no idea.  I can count on one hand the number of times I've sent out Christmas cards in my married life, because I either forget, just get lazy, or I can't find all of the addresses for my family and friends.  If you're like me, and you have the latter problem, WhitePages Mailer can help! WhitePages Mailer is…

Elf on the Shelf Nativity | Hunter Kneels at the side of Baby Jesus

I love snowmen.  I'm not sure if it's because, like Santa, or the Tooth Fairy, or the Easter Bunny, it doesn't really exist for us here in South Texas, or if it's because they are just so cute.  Today, we have a little elf on the Shelf Nativity! Our Elf on the Shelf (alternative) is also a snowman, straight from the north pole, and most of my Christmas decor are different shaped and sized snowmen, so you can see him, here, with his "people". I've been in search of a snowman nativity for a while, and I finally ran across…

Mamacita Donde Esta Santa Claus Video | In memory of Jason and Elizabeth.

One of Braxton's favorite songs this Christmas season has been Mamacita, Donde Esta Santa Claus?  He walks around the house singing it, really having no idea what he's saying, but it's cute anyway! I went to YouTube in search for a video of this song, and I ran across a really cute, but sad video, of a little boy acting out this song. It's a very catchy, upbeat song, so you don't really correlate it with sad, but check out this description of the video: Uploaded on Dec 26, 2006 On April 21st 2007 my son Jason and My wife…

2012 Hoilday Must-Haves: Philips Norelco PowerTouch AT830

When we first got married, I remember Andy trying to shave with an electric shaver with just about no luck at all.  I really didn't know why it didn't work for him, nor did I ask.  When I handed him the Philips Norelco PowerTouch AT830 to try out, I could tell he was hesitant. Come to find out, he was unable to use the shaver he had, because it was a dry shaver only, and he can't dry shave without his face burning or breaking out. The AquaTec seal on the Philips electric shaver makes it 100% waterproof. Use it…

Alternative to Elf on the Shelf has ARRIVED!

Our Alternative to Elf on the Shelf is an actual shelf sitter.  He's a snowman, but he came straight from the North Pole on Santa's orders to look after our kiddos during the month of December.  For more about our Elf on the Shelf Alternative check out my post from last year. This year, Hunter, our snowman from Santa came with a letter from Santa and a LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, because Santa knows that two of my boys' favorite things are LEGOs and Star Wars! Here is Santa's letter that came with Santa! Click for full size.  …

Tips to keep your baby from unwrapping the Christmas Presents

Braxton asked me this morning, "Are you starting to make the presents yet?"  I guess it was his way of asking why there are no presents under the tree.   By "make" he doesn't literally mean make. He means wrap the presents. The truth is, I haven't started wrapping presents, because I'm not sure if Jett will stay out of them the way he's stayed away from the tree!  Almost everything we have will be easy to wrap in the boxes in which they come, which means, if Jett tears one of them, they'll know exactly what they are getting. So…

Blue Nile’s The Extraordinary Days of Christmas | Facebook Game

I love this time of year.  Not only is there an awesome feeling in the air, but I love finding great deals for my kiddos as well as fun games and giveaways such as Blue Nile’s The Extraordinary Days of Christmas.  I wasn't familiar with Blue Nile until Groupon featured them, but they have the most incredibly beautiful jewelry.  It's an extremely popular site with wonderful gifts for everyone - even kids. I've been given the opportunity to own a beautiful pair of Blue Nile Leaf Chandelier Earrings, and if one could ever be in love with jewelry, I'm there. …
