Disposable Diapers vs. Cloth Diapers in an Inflated Economy

Preface: This post is based on a large quantity (156) package of disposable diapers purchased at which is significantly cheaper than the smaller (32ish) packages that most people purchase due to costs.  It is also based on the fact that the larger the baby, the larger the size they will need and although the package of the diaper stays the same, the number of diapers in the package is less, therefore making the per diaper cost more expensive.  It is also based on one brand of diapers. I read, yesterday that the price of disposable diapers is going up, possibly…

Blissful Booty Toddler XL Cloth Diaper Review Not too long ago, Cathy Brown from Blissful Booty Cloth Diapers mosied her way on to  one of my Facebook pages and soon after into the inbox of one of my fabulous friends, Brandy, from Not So Average Mama, asking her if she'd like to do a giveaway of one of her cloth diapers. Quick Sew Flap Wrap (QSFW) Cloth Diaper – Size Dilemma HELP!

This past week, an awesome supporter of The Cloth Diaper Foundation, Julie, donated this really cool, strange, odd, twisty, awesome cloth diaper to the organization. After a shout out on Facebook, and SEVERAL responses later, I found out that the proper name for this diaper is a QSFW Diaper, or Quick Sew Flap Wrap or Quick Snap Flap Wrap, depending on how you make it. (I kinda like my name of quick flap wrapity zap!) I have decided I want to make a few to enter into the Cloth Diaper Foundation Sew a Diaper Contest/Fundraiser, so I went in search…

Cloth Diaper Memory Lane – What cloth diapers did you use?

When Hawk was still in cloth diapers all day, I had transformed his pack-n-play into a changing station FULL of cloth diapers! I would make sure, that when I would have people over, or I would take pictures, that all of my favorite cloth diapers were on top so that they could be seen.  Yes, I wanted to show them off!  What a better way to get people to ask about, and interested in, cloth diapers, than to show off the REALLY cute ones! In this picture, he's wearing a Jolly Bums (so is the bright yellow/green one).  Sadly, they're…
