*GIVEAWAY EXTENDED TO 12/14*

Due to a technical issue with a tracking link, I have decided to extend this giveaway one more week.  Thank you for understanding!

My favorite times from my childhood were spent on a boat with my dad.  I was pretty much the only one in our family who actually enjoyed to go out fishing with my dad, and honestly, I miss it.  I think if I had one wish, it would probably be to go out on the boat,  one more time, just me and my dad.  No kids. No husbands.  Just me and dad.

This was the first boat in which I ever fished!

I can remember graduating from a Snoopy fishing pole to a Rhino closed faced reel and then to an Ambassador opened faced real.  My dad taught me everything I know about fishing, including how to bait a hook, tie a hook to the fishing line, set the hook, clean a fish, and most importantly, boat safety!

I want all of my kiddos to enjoy fishing as much as my husband and I do.  They actually love to go out on the boat and catch fish! Fishing is a lot of fun for all ages, and it doesn’t have to be all that expensive. Take a look at TakeMeFishing.org for great resources on fishing and boating fun! Here are some great tips on fishing with kiddos!

Here is the last fishing trip we took with my dad, kids, and cousin!

In Texas, it’s required, by law for anyone between the ages of 17 and 65 to have a fishing license when they’re out fishing.

When you purchase a fishing license, you’re helping to protect, preserve and enhance the sport of fishing for today and for generations to come. License fees help pay for fishery and hatchery management, habitat development and protection, endangered species programs, fishing and conservation education, lake maps and other publications, and many other valuable programs.

Join me and take the Anglers’ Legacy Pledge to take one new person fishing each year.  The next person I pledge to take fishing is our newest little one, Jett!
