It’s that time again!  The 3rd Annual Flats and Handwashing Challenge is officially underway, and I’m excited to be participating once again.

Today is day three, and I’m really loving all of the involvement this year!  I have several friends who are also involved in the challenge as well as a few local cloth diapering mamas that I know from our Houston Cloth group who are participating as well.

Flats Challenge 2013

Let me just tell you… it seems that the thing to do during these flats challenges is to come up with new folds.  I’ve seen so many different ways to fold these flat diapers, I’ve come up with a new term for it!

Flolding – Flat Folding

Flold Flat Fold

Today, I learned about the following flolds that I had never seen!

Happy Anteater

Jo Fold

Airplane Fold

Diaperbag Fold

I’m just like… Whaaa??  So, I decided that I wanted to get in on the flold invention fun!

Basically, as I said on Instagram, I want the easiest, fasted way to cloth diaper whether it’s with flats or not.  Today, I decided that I’d go ahead and make my way and “official” flat fold.  I gave it a name and instructions, and all that jazz.  That makes it official, right?

It’s really just two pad folds with one kind of stuffed inside the other, then fanned for “rear” protection. 🙂  This is great for using with folds that are of lesser quality.  I bought some pretty crummy flour sack towels on Amazon, and I thought they were a lost cause.  However, since I came up with this fold, they work pretty well!

I present the Official Jett Fold.

Happy flolding, y’all!
