30 Days of Mom-To-Be: Day 2 – Body or Maternity Pillows

Last night, when I was laying in bed, I would find a comfortable position for it to only last about 2-3 minutes. I would stuff a regular pillow here and there, but it just became a cumbersome task. The next thing on my list to get for a comfortable night's sleep is a body pillow.  I really don't care what form or fashion it comes in,  I just know that it needs to be more than 35 inches long! My craving of the day… Pickles and….

Yeah, you're It's not ice cream. Actually, it's quite the opposite. I really haven't had any odd cravings so far. I normally eat really odd foods as it is - odd combinations is more like it. Yes, right now, I'm eating pickles while drinking coffee. Not such a bad combo, actually! Two Neat Options for Nursing Moms! Great deals!

I'm a nursing mom.  Well, not currently, but this fall, I will be, once again!  I love looking for new options for nursing moms.  Check out these great finds! Undercover Mama This is really cool!  I'm sure they're out there, but I've never seen a tank that's not really a tank, but attaches to your nursing bra clasps.  How convenient is that?  You don't have to worry about pulling this tank up, just unclasp it like you do your bra, and there you go.  You're stomach is completely covered! (They go up to XXL!) From now until 4/11 you can…

Online Gender Predictions! Boy or Girl?

This post was written pre-Jett. From the get-go, Andy and I decided that we're NOT going to find out the gender of this baby until birth!  Some people think it's cool, some people think we're crazy, and some people say that there's NO way they could wait! We're cool with it!  The only thing it really means, for us, is that we'll have to come up with two different names. (I just shot one down today, by the way - poor Andy.)  I'm a 'gender neutral' kinda person when it comes to clothes, diapers, car seats, etc. (more…)

Has it been four years? I was featured in a Natural Childbirth Article!

Happy 4th Birthday Connor Hawk Johnston! Four years ago, I was featured in a Natural Childbirth Article in Pearland, Texas. This day is what inspired me to become a labor doula! Baby on board By Mary Openshaw The Facts Published February 21, 2007 These days, when a woman is having a baby, she’s got more options than just which hospital to go to. Choices range from whether to have the baby at home, with or without traditional pain-killers, to penciling it in on the calendar and going for an elective C-section. (more…)
