First Day of School 2013! (Boys only post!)

Yesterday, the boys were dreading going back to school.  They were not happy that it was going to be their last day of summer, last day of waking up when they want, and last day of Xbox until next weekend. This morning, the boys were up before I was, they had already dressed themselves, eaten breakfast, and watching the clock for the bus!  They love riding the bus on the first day of school, because their bus driver is absolutely awesome! Of course, I don't fight that! Of course, this morning, when I was taking pictures, it was cloudy, and…

6 Tips for Parents with Children That Struggle with School #kids #school

When the school day is over, most good parents will do their best to help their children successfully complete homework assignments.  This doesn't mean your children won't occasionally struggle to get it done, however. Voots Review – Veggie Fruit Tarts Supplements | #review #fruits #veggies

My kiddos love to take their vitamins.  They don't care if they are gummies, the hard chewable characters, or in the shape of circular tarts.  They love it.  When we run out, they're not happy campers!  In addition to (not as a replacement for) their vitamins, they have found a love for Voots Veggie-Fruit Tarts which helps provide more vitamin C to go along with their regular fruit and veggie eating habits. Although they're tasty for kiddos, teenagers and adults can enjoy them as well. With Voots® supplements, your kids can get the Vitamin C antioxidant power of 3 servings…

Chemicals in Cord Blood and Breastmilk? Wow! | #HealthyBaby

It is no secret that I do my part to give my kiddos a healthy start to life.  I birth naturally, I breastfeed, I use cloth diapers, among many other things.  But do you know that even the healthy choices that we make still pose risks beyond face value?  What are you doing to decrease chemical exposure in your home? Have you ever thought about the things in life that don't necessarily cancel each other out but prove less effective for our common goal of being healthy? Pregnancy and Birth Families who chose to birth naturally and delay or not…

Car Seat Safety over Convenience | #carseat #safety #kids

If you've scrolled around Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Pinterest for any amount of time, you're likely to have seen it.  There is always someone who posts a photo of their child in a car seat, buckled in wrong, or not tight enough, or sitting funky, or not in a car seat at all.  Then it happens.  The post goes viral, the photo gets shared, screen printed, and ridiculed from here to eternity!  I like to call the mamas who jump on other mamas for not having their child properly restrained "car seat nazis".  And sometimes, I'm part of that crowd.…
