Santa Claus Christmas Store Personalized Family Ornaments Review | #christmas

I can remember when my daughter was born (almost 15 years ago!  eeek!) we had a hard time finding products in stores with her name on them.  Back then, there was online shopping, but it wasn't as popular (or affordable) as it is now, and even though Kylie was becoming a popular name, companies were playing it safe by sending retail stores names like Amanda, Elizabeth, Sara, Eric, Ben, and Chris.  Variations of spellings were hard to come by.  We could find Kyle everywhere, just no Kyle. Now, it's become so easy to hop online and purchase customized and personalized…

Flirty Aprons Review | Mistletoe Apron #Christmas

My mom reads my blog.  I think she's probably the only family member (aside from the hubby) who does, and last year, she saw me post about Flirty Aprons.  She fell in love, so when I had the opportunity to do a Flirty Aprons Review, I knew that I couldn't hold out and keep the apron for myself or even hold on to it until Christmas.  As soon as my beautiful model took the apron off, it went straight home with my mom.  Christmas came early for her, this year! I love this apron.  When I noticed that the Mistletoe…

Schwan’s Home Delivery Holiday Meal Review | #Giveaway (12/3)

Meal planning and preparation can be the most stressful part of the holiday season for people like me!  I have a small kitchen, a large family, and picky eaters! I was so excited when Schwan's Home Service took the guess work out of planning and preparation for us.  We did a trial run for our big meal, this year, so that I could bring you an honest review of the service and food from Schwan's Home Service, and let me tell I have no idea why we haven't done this before. We have a family of six, and we were…

Music Box Attic Review | Let It Snow! Frosty Tidings Snow Globe #christmas

I’m so excited.  I’ve been trying to wait until at least November 20  before even thinking about Christmas decor!  I want to hold out as long as I can, this year, to make sure I’m giving the turkey his time in the spotlight - but this new piece I received last week is making it really, really hard! I’m mostly excited to listen to Christmas music, and even though I haven’t turned on the radio or Christmas music stations, I’ve secretly been winding up my new musical snow globe when no one is home. I love snowmen.  When I visited…

Fisher-Price See ‘n Say Talking Game Review | #Giveaway (11/30)

Do you remember the old toys (like Sheriff Woody) that you pull the string, and they speak?  Did you know that the See 'n Say, introduced in 1965, was actually the first talking toy that allowed children to choose the exact phrase they wanted to hear?  All you had to do was move the pointer to whatever animal or thing you wanted to hear, and put the string. More recently due to safety and durability concerns (I'm assuming), the new See 'n Say toys have a build in lever that you pull, but it has the same concept. TCG Toys…

Fisher-Price Chatter Phone Talking Game Review | #Giveaway (11/30)

Did you know that the original Fisher-Price Chatter Telephone has been the first telephone for more than 26 million people since 1962.  According to Fisher-Price fun facts, the Chatter Telephone is one of the only “telephones” on the market that still has a rotary dial!    I love the classic Chatter Telephones, and one of my favorite characters in Toy Story 3 is Chatter.  Poor guy can't speak unless you hold his receiver up to your ear!  I can't remember if I had one of these at home while I was growing up, but I do remember my childhood daycare having…

The time my dad tried to be Clark Griswold! | #christmas #memories

I really wish I had pictures.  When Andy and I first got married, we were just beginning to move into the digital era, and most pictures that we took were still on 35mm cameras. One year, my dad decided that he wanted to do Christmas light Clark Griswold style.  His goal was for satellites to see his property from space.  Seriously.  Of course, now, he probably wishes he would have had LED Christmas lights to keep his bill down. My parents had a pretty large house with a wrap around porch, and most people put icicle lights on the front…

Haan Steam Mop Giveaway (Hand Held Steamer) | Ends 11/29 #giveaway

Today is the day.  It's the day that I bust out my steam mop and clean my floors.  I really wish that I had a Haan Steam Mop instead of what I have (which will remain nameless for this post!). Sure, mine is OK, but from what I hear, the Haan Steam Mop & Hand Held Steamer is just a little bit cooler than what I have, and my friend Karen from FabGrandma is giving one away for the holidays! The HAAN Multi™ SI-70 Steam Mop weighs just a bit over 5 pounds, but it tackles any size job easily.…

LeapFrog Read with me Scout Review #readwithmescout

Jett loves music.  He loves to sing along (in his Minion language) and dance to pretty much any song he hears.  One of his favorite kids songs is Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.  This is the first song he's actually started singing (as close as he can) real words to, so when we opened up his brand new LeapFrog Read with me Scout, he was so excited when the first button he pushed started playing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. LeapFrog Read with me Scout comes with the cute plush green dog that your little one loves, plus five board books, and…

VeggieTales Merry Larry and the True Lights of Christmas

Have you seen  VeggieTales Merry Larry and the True Lights of Christmas?  We love it, not only because it's Veggie Tales, but this new release features some pretty awesome folks including Owl City, TobyMac and none other than UNCLE SI ROBERTSON!!! I think it's awfully fitting that Uncle Si and okra janitor.  You don't get much more southern than okra!  They have made his okra character look pretty much exactly what you'd think Si would look like if he were an okra! There are so many awesome elements surrounding this movie.  It's not just about Si and the other awesome…
