Valentine’s Day Mommy Fail!

I have seen a lot of my blogger friends do such cute Valentine’s Day projects, and I had every intention of following in their footsteps this year!  I especially loved these Yoda Pops!  My boys would have LOVED them!  I’m going to have to keep those in my back pocket for another day, because I completely failed as a mom!  Valentine’s Day seemed to sneak up on us, and before I knew it, we were rushing to the grocery store before it closed to grab cupcakes for Braxton’s class party as well as going to THREE stores at the last minute to grab some cheap Valentine’s cards!

Oh well, at least the boys liked them!  They’re easy!

  1. My dude’s not in school yet, but I am sure when he is he’ll just want ones like those anyway. He’s big into characters so as long as it has an Angry Bird or Buzz Lightyear on it, he’s good.

  2. A real mommy fail would have been to not gotten any Valentine’s Day cards. I think you did just fine. We all put so much pressure on ourselves to get creative but I think the kids really only care about all candy they get. 🙂

  3. I totally didn’t make my daughter’s Valentine’s either and she loved them regardless. I don’t think it would make a difference in her eyes to be honest. I think it’s us moms who do this to ourselves and we feel like we HAVE to do these crazy things like Pinterest style Valentine’s

  4. I had every intention of doing tons of Valentine’s Day crafts with my girls, but I failed, too! I promised to make it up to them for St. Patrick’s Day since it’ll be me and my husband’s 7 yr annversary.

  5. HAHA This year my daughter made her with my Mom. She cut out tons of hearts and made silly faces. They are just going to get thrown away. I hate wasting money buying them.

  6. I think you didn’t fail at all!! I was out of commission for Christmas crafts due to the baby – so I tried to make it up with Valentines. We all do what we can, and in the end – our kids love everything!! 🙂

  7. I always had the idea in my head to have my kids make their own Valentine’s Day cards but it never panned out. Now they are teenagers so I guess I missed that window of opportunity.

I’m sure your son and their classmates enjoyed the Valentine’s Day cards you had.
