I love it when Christmastime rolls around.  There’s just something about this time a year.  The music, sounds, joy, cheer, colors, lights, smells, the unknown, and just overall emotion that comes out is just amazing.  Pair that with an early package sent from Santa Claus himself from Christmas Forest, and you can’t help but turn on the Christmas music to kick off the holiday season.

Christmas Forest Live Wreath - Christmas Cross

I knew what was inside the box addressed to me and sent from S. Claus would be beautiful, but I wasn’t quite expecting breathtakingly beautiful!  I’d never owned any Real Forest Christmas Wreaths before, so I really had no idea what to expect.

I was given the option to choose from any wreath on the website, and when I saw the Christmas Cross, I’d never seen one like it before, so I knew, immediatley that I had to choose that one to represent!!  When I clicked on “View Details”,  I loved what it had to say, and it’s exactly why I chose it.

Share your faith, hope and love for Christmas with this exquisite hand-crafted creation. Our devoted artisans skillfully weave aromatic noble fir, princess pine and Lodge pole cones together to create a stirring iconic symbol of faith as enduring and beautiful as the season itself.

When I opened the box the smell of Christmas was the first thing I noticed, and I was immediately taken to a happy place.  You know the feeling when you get when you hear a memorable song?   That is how I felt.  It was amazing.  Then, I pulled the 22″ Noble Fir and Princess Pine Christmas Cross out of the box, I was stunned at just how beautifully and meticulously crafted it was.  It completely surpassed what I was expecting!  My husband and I are already trying to figure out how we can preserve it for year long use!  It’s that beautiful.

Edited to add a suggestion from a Christmas Forest Representative – I wanted to let you know that if you spritz the Cross to keep some moisture on it will help it last longer.  We are cooler and wetter than you are in Texas, but every year several wreaths are put on the outside of our office in the fall and they are still there when we return to work the next October. The wreaths have turned a nice brown/bronze color, but the needles are still on them. – Marji

From Christmas Forest in Washington:

From our very first handmade Christmas wreath sold back in 1976 at Pike Place Farmer’s Market until now, we have made it our mission to bring the very essence of Christmas into every wreath that we create. Alive with the fresh evergreen scent of the Cascade Mountains, each of our handcrafted wreaths is a one-of-a-kind creation, and a unique representation of who we are.

Christmas Forest Live Wreath - Christmas Cross

Truth be told, about 20 minutes before the Christmas Cross Wreath showed up, my daughter asked me when we were going to start decorating for Christmas.  I told her that I’d just had to remove our Halloween decorations, and that I wasn’t ready for that!  Once it arrived, she was so happy and excited to hold the Cross to take a photo. Of course, it was followed by a few “I told you so” comments!

Do you know the origins of the Christmas Wreath?

In Christianity, the Christmas wreath was used to symbolize Christ. The circular shape, with no beginning or end, represents eternity or life never ending. more info…
