Yesterday evening, my doorbell rang.  We never have anyone visit, so I knew it was either UPS or Fedex.  When Hawk opened the door, I saw this huge box from Flatout!  I was totally surprised when I opened the box.  I knew that I’d won a giveaway, but I guess I really didn’t pay that much attention to exactly WHAT was in the giveaway!  (I won this from their Flatout Fresh blog – you should follow it!)

4 EdgeOn Crisps, 3 FOLDits, 3 Flatout wraps, a messenger bag, a spatula, a cutting board and a recipe booklet

So this morning, I decided to do a little HEALTHY spin on the traditional cinnamon toast that the kidlets haven’t had in a while.  When I was growing up, my mom would grab a piece of white bread, slap on a ton of butter, sprinkle it with cinnamon, and then pile on the white sugar. She’d do about eight pieces, or however many would fit on the biggest pan and then broil them for a few minutes until the sugar and cinnamon would mix with the butter and carmelize and crystalize on to.  It was a sinfully sweet breakfast treat that we had at least three times a week!

Flatout Cinnmaon and Truvia toast before broiling

Ingredients:
5 Grain Flax Flatout Foldits
Tropical Traditional Coconut Oil
Cinnamon
Truvia

Dip:
Plain Greek Yogurt
Truvia
Cinnamon

I have my coconut oil in a pump spray canister, so I lightly sprayed the foldits with coconut oil.  Then I sprinkled on some cinnamon.  On top of that, I only sprinkled on about a teaspoon and a half of Truvia.  I put them in the oven on broil, and I just watched them for a few minutes (prob about 4?) until I noticed that all the ingredients became one.

For the dip, I just mixed in Truvia and cinnamon to taste!  This will probably vary from kiddo to kiddo.  Brax wanted it really sweet.  Hawk wanted it more like “simmy creamy” which is what they call sour cream (NO idea)!

Well, the boys love it!

Thank you, Flatout Bread, for the awesome package, and thank you Truvia for letting me be apart of the #MapTruvia Swap Out Your Sweetener (SYOS) Challenge!  (Oh, and thank you Tropical Traditions for the coconut oil I won in a giveaway as well!)
