My kids are really missing out.

Growing up, I remember, even though we moved several times, almost all of our bathtubs has slides on the back.

You know what I’m talking about!  Where you rest your back on the tub, there was just enough slant that, as a child, you could put your rear at the top, and slide down it splashing water everywhere?  Sure, we got in boatloads of trouble for doing it, but it was so much fun!

Now, all the bathtubs that I’ve used in my married life, have all had straight backs, unless it was a larger garden tub, and even then, there wasn’t enough slant to make it fun! My kids are definitely missing out on what we used to call “fun” back in the day, when everything seemed much more simple and not as complicated as the world we live in today.

They’re so scarce that I can’t even find a plain bathtub with that much of a slanted back on it in Google images!  They’re all these new fancy tubs that seem like they’d be too scary to slid down! But after looking at other tubs it got me planning on doing a bathroom renovation and at the top of the list was the bathtub replacement, following new floor tiles, vanity sink and even new shower curtains that would really help absorb the changes done to the bathroom.

This on might be a little much!! Haha! But even if I had it infront of me I wouldn’t slide down.
