Acer Iconia W3 8.1″ Tablet Giveaway (10/21)

We're a geeky gamer household.  It doesn't matter how much we hear it from family and that's just how we're going to be. At any given time, you can find a tablet, phone, or controller in the hands of my kids, because it's what they love to do.   Does that make them lazy?  Nah, I don't think so.  I think everyone has to find their own thing, and my kids are entertained and often educated by the electronics they hold in their hands. Braxton (9) and Hawk (6) use tablets and phone apps to learn anything from math to reading…

Chicco Red Bullet Balance Bike Review

Not too long ago, one of my neighbors paid another one of my neighbors (teenager) to teach his son how to ride his bike.  He learned in about 10 minutes, so it was pretty much a quick payday for the teenager!  However, we still have several little ones in the neighborhood to teach to ride a bike, and we'll either have to do it ourselves or go broke fairly quickly. One of the products that we've found is a great help at a really early age is the Chicco Red Bullet Balance Bike to help them learn how to balance…

Sophie la girafe Book Series Debut! Review & #Giveaway (10/2)

When Jett was born, we decided that his favorite animal was going to be a giraffe!  I loved all of the giraffe things that were out, and it became the theme for him.  All of his shirts, toys, cloth diapers, blankets, etc., that we found had giraffes on them. At about 2 months old, one of our friends gave him a Sophie the Giraffe teether.  I really didn't see the big deal about this toy until it actually arrived.  It quickly became Jett's favorite toy as well as mine.  Sophie is so soft, and it's just a great teething toy…

BuildaSign.com Business Cards Review with Giveaway (8/2) | #business

Every time I turn around, someone asks me for a business card.  I have several different businesses and projects that I'm into, and for the past year or so, I have been out of cards.  Last fall, I needed cards, and I hand wrote them, which was cool (and I was told people actually pay big money for that!), but I really needed to get back on the bandwagon and have cards on hand to give out to people. I was excited (and oh-so-thankful) to have the opportunity to do a Business Cards Review! The good news is, for business…

Spark of Amber Review – 18″ Amber Necklace for Mom | #Giveaway (5/23)

It's no secret that we use amber teething necklaces with our little ones.  No, that doesn't mean that Jett is cutting teeth, right now, by chewing on a necklace.  He's simply wearing a very cool and hip amber necklace.  What you may not know is that I also wear amber necklaces, but I wear them to help control headaches and earaches.  Not to mention, necklaces by Spark of Amber are beautiful and reasonably priced! As I've written before, Amber is a great, natural way to relieve pain.  From a previous post on natural teething relief: The misconception behind teething necklaces…

As a cloth diaper mom, I'm always on the look out for new, eco-friendly cloth diaper safe detergents.  I've found a couple that are tried and true, for me, including one of my own recipes, however, when I ran across info on a detergent that claimed to be a sport detergent that actually helps fabrics retain breathability, moisture wicking, and waterproofing properties, I knew I just had to try it! Shushybye Baby Review – 3 DVD Set #Giveaway (2/20)

Jett, now 16 months old, loves music videos.  The more fun, and funkier the characters, the better for him.  He will sit and bob his head to the beat or try to dance around the living room with the music.  Some nights, the only way to get him to sleep is to play a video on one of our devices until he's out!  We're so glad to have Shushybye Baby DVDs in the house, now!  Not only is he able to watch the music videos, but he's also learning in the process. BabyFirst TV (available on DirecTV, Dish Network and…

MailPix Custom Kindle Fire Case Review & Giveaway

My kiddos like to monopolize my Kindle Fire.  The boys play games, watch videos, read, color, and all sorts of things on it.  Very seldom do I actually  have the Kindle in my own two hands! When I do have it, the battery is usually dead! Until now.  Now, I have my very own, MailPix Custom Kindle Fire Case, and the kids have absolutely no idea what's in it!  When I don't want them on it, I hide it in me new case! When I get things personalized for myself, I like to use a photo of all of my…
