Our Adaptive Learning, Homeschool Experience

Last school year, we homeschooled our children.  We are very fortunate, in the state of Texas, to be able to homeschool with no hassle from the school system or the government. Things my Kids Say: (bloop, bloop) You hear that?

I loathe the call. MOM, CAN YOU WIPE MY BOTTOM PLEASE? Earlier, Hawk was on the pot, talking to himself, and I heard said call. I went into the bathroom.  His face was all contorted and red with tears in his eyes. Me: Are you done? Hawk: (strain) I didn't say anything. A few minutes later, I go back. Me: Are you done? Yesterday, Brax and I were working on his homeschool Math work of "greater than an less than". We talked about the different words for "greater" and "less".  We wrote down a few: > -- greater -- bigger -- larger -- more < -- less -- smaller -- fewer -- "not as many" After a few minutes of not getting it, he finally clicked and OOOOOOOOOOHHH!!!  So I would rather eat 99 cookies than 53 cookies, because 99 cookies is WAY more! So he wrote on his 99 > 53 Proud homeschooling mama, I am.
