Last school year, we homeschooled our children. We are very fortunate, in the state of Texas, to be able to homeschool with no hassle from the school system or the government. It was definitely an adventure, but the one thing my kids were never able to get past is the fact that just because they were home, it didn't mean that it was Xbox or TV time. I loathe the call. MOM, CAN YOU WIPE MY BOTTOM PLEASE? Earlier, Hawk was on the pot, talking to himself, and I heard said call. I went into the bathroom. His face was all contorted and red with tears in his eyes. Me: Are you done? Hawk: (strain) I didn't say anything. A few minutes later, I go back. Me: Are you done? Background Noise: (blooop, bloop) Hawk: You hear that? That means I'm still pooping. I just hid my grin and walked away. I need to write a book.

Yesterday, Brax and I were working on his homeschool Math work of "greater than an less than". We talked about the different words for "greater" and "less". We wrote down a few: > -- greater -- bigger -- larger -- more < -- less -- smaller -- fewer -- "not as many" After a few minutes of not getting it, he finally clicked and OOOOOOOOOOHHH!!!
