Have you heard the news?  I-am-going-to-New-York-City!  NEW YORK CITY?? (Ok, yeah, that was my best Pace Picante Sauce impression!)

Yes, New York City!  I am super stoked!

Leah, Rachel, and I have been invited to join Jared Fogle (Yep, Subway Jared!) in Central Park on Tuesday morning during one of his marathon training sessions. While we’re running a mile and a half with him, we’re going to be followed by the media, have our own paparazzi, and all that really cool jazz.  Ok, so I don’t know about the paparazzi, but I am expecting a red carpet in my driveway when I get home!  (Y’all remind me to get my brows shaped up before I go – really!)

SO check it out.  Jared has set a goal for himself to run in the ING New York City Marathon, November 7, and what’s cool is, Subway realizes that goal setting is a MAJOR motivation for living a healthy lifestyle, so they’ve launched the Commit to Fit campaign for the public to set goals for themselves to achieve along side Jared!

There will be more info on the Commit to Fit campaign in October so be sure to stay tuned for more info!

You guys already know that my first goal is to lose 50 pounds by Christmas, but the reality of it is, along this road, I’ve learned that I don’t have to just strive toward weight loss!  Really, it’s more about living a healthy lifestyle and being fit.

When Andy and I started this journey at Easter, we made a commitment to live a healthier lifestyle for ourselves and our family, and I think it’s an absolute honor to be asked, by Subway, to share in this experience with Jared and let the world know what “Commit to Fit” means to me.

Commit to Fit
For me, the Commit to Fit campaign means that I need to be real and honest with myself about the expectations that I have for my future as a healthy wife, mom, daughter, sister, and friend.

Right now, I commit to not only live my life as a healthy and fit vessel, but I want to radiate health, wellness, and inspiration every where I turn!

Right now, I commit to losing more than the almost 40 pounds that I’ve already shed for eternity.  Those who know me, look at me and say “wow, you have come a LONG way”.  Those who don’t know me may look at me as just another overweight person – statistic – in America.

Right now, I commit to being the person who turns heads in the room, not because I’m hot and sexy (haha – PERK! gonna be there one day, y’all), but because of this defining moment in my health and fitness venture.

Right now, I commit to being a motivator and inspiration to help YOU with your fitness goals.  I want to be there for you every step of the way, letting you know that you’re not alone, and we can do this!

Right now, I Commit to Fit.  Will you join me?

Oh, and as a side note, I commit not to be star struck next week. I’ll probably need the most help with this one!

You’ll absolutely want to stay tuned, because when I get back from NYC, not only will I be telling you all about my experience with Subway and Jared, but I’ll also be hosting a RAZZLE-DE-DAZZLE  giveaway compliments of Commit to Fit and Subway!  You are SO not going to want to miss this!  I got a sneaky peek.. and can I just say.. DUDE, really?  Whoop!

Don’t forget to follow the hash, because we’ll be tweeting the day away in NYC!  #Commit2Fit (You might want to go ahead and put that in your Twitter client now, because we’re already rockin’ it! 🙂
