Move ‘N Groove Kids DVD Review & Giveaway (1/18) #Fitness #Kids

For much of the kiddos' Christmas vacation, it's been cold and rainy.  I can count the number of days, on one hand, that they've actually been able to play outside or go to the park.  Today is going to be another one of those days.  The rain is supposed to set in, soon.  It's extremely important, for me, in the new year, to keep my kiddos active.  I've decided that enough is enough, and we're getting back into our healthy and active routines.  Move 'N Groove Kids DVDs have helped my kids stay moving around while stuck inside! Move 'N…

Time to Reboot | #fitness #weightloss #health

Just a little before this time two years ago, I had lost about 45 or so pounds, and I was feeling great.  At the very end of 2010, I became pregnant with Jett. It was right about then that I threw everything I'd accomplished weight loss, and fitness wise, out the window. I stopped working out. I stopped watching my sugar and fat intake. I just stopped caring. In this time, I gained everything back that I had lost over the previous year, and then some. Now, not only do I look in the mirror and really detest what I…

What Happened to The Great Deflation? #fitness

I'm glad you asked! Due to the breast injury/infection/non-infection/problem/pain/etc., etc., etc. (in my best Yul Brynner voice), we put it on pause for a bit. Ok, truth be told, there was Valentine's Day, and Hawk birthday, and the combined birthday party, and now Kylie's No, really.  Until now, I haven't been 100% in the activity department, and because of the medication and pain, I had to scale back to about 50% activity. HOWEVER, even though I'm not completely well, we're back in full swing!  Expect an update tomorrow. It's not pretty.

Commit2Fit Fridays: Interview with Subway Jared, #Win $25 GC (closed)

Congratulations to Julie H! This week we will be wrapping up the Commit2Fit Campaign and series with some very encouraging words from the man himself, Jared Fogle. One of the big things in learning to live a healthy life as well as achieving weight loss is to not get discouraged if you are in a funk, fall off the wagon for a bit, or even hit a plateau or gain a little weight back. I had the privileged of interviewing Jared while I was in NYC with Subway representatives to kick off the Commit to Fit Movement, and his words…

See. Lisa. Run. (not well, but run!)

Well, it's the two minutes and forty four seconds you've all been waiting for!  Yep, the vlog on my Smooth Fitness treadmill.  Once again, I apologize for the crumminess of my camera quality.  Wouldn't you know, my battery was dead from my LAST vlog, but it's a good thing that I checked it, because I'd hate to take off to NYC with a dead battery in my camera, right? Which reminds I have to check out the list of what NOT to bring on a Enjoy my very, very short vlog! After watching, I realize I need to relax more…

Commit to Fit with Subway and Jared!

Have you heard the news?  I-am-going-to-New-York-City!  NEW YORK CITY?? (Ok, yeah, that was my best Pace Picante Sauce impression!) Yes, New York City!  I am super stoked! Leah, Rachel, and I have been invited to join Jared Fogle (Yep, Subway Jared!) in Central Park on Tuesday morning during one of his marathon training sessions. While we're running a mile and a half with him, we're going to be followed by the media, have our own paparazzi, and all that really cool jazz.  Ok, so I don't know about the paparazzi, but I am expecting a red carpet in my driveway…
